TN Government releases SOPs for playgrounds, stadiums: mandates masks, thermal scanning

As a part of unlocking measure, the Tamil Nadu has issued a set of SOPs to be followed while opening the playgrounds and stadium, under the control of the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu.

The following are the list of procedural measure to be incorporated while accessing the playgrounds and stadiums.

* Initially, only 100 persons will be allowed in the playground.

* Handwash/ Liquid Soap/ Sanitiser should be provided at the entrance

* Mandatory thermal scanning for the body temperature

* Wearing of masks is mandatory and have to be worn at all time while inside the playground 

* Spitting inside and outside the playground is strictly prohibited.

* Visitors from containment zone will not be allowed to enter the stadium

* Functioning of the playground may be permitted for restricted hours and people should be allowed in batch basis for bigger playgrounds. Authorities might follow a token system to regulate the same.

* Proper disposal of waste must be undertaken and urban bodies must ensure safe disposal from the bins regularly.

* People should carry their water bottle with them

* Toilets in the grounds should be regularly cleaned and disinfected.

* Sale of Snacks, fast food, etc. inside the playground premises will be prohibited.

* The public should ensure social distancing while performing physical fitness and exercise inside the premises.

* People above 65 years, those with co-morbidities, pregnant women and children below the age of 10 years are not allowed to use the playgrounds.

* Maintenance staffs and workers should wear safety gears.
