The meeting would be held through video conference mode by connecting with the members from different parts of the state. It has been learnt that the party has asked its members to avoid bringing their mobile phones for the meeting.

Meanwhile, Stalin slammed the ruling BJP for imposition of Hindi at the office of Commissionerate of GST and Central Excise in the city and wondered if the union government was meant only for Hindi speaking states?

Referring to the letter an assistant commissioner of Commissionerate had written to the head of Central Board of Direct Taxes and Excise, Stalin said the pretension of the ruling BJP, which is attempting to convert a multi-ethnic, multilingual and multi-religious country in to a unitary one, has been laid bare.

Quoting the assistant commissioner as alleging that the three Tamil-speaking officers of Hindi section of the office had to ink their names in official letters and notes, which were only in Hindi, Stalin, in a message posted on his official Facebook page, said the letter of assistant commissioner Balamurugan has demonstrated the grave threat to the plurality of the country.
