South Zone police personnel gives Rs 86 lakh relief to martyred cop’s kin
On Monday, South Zone Inspector General of Police S Murugan along with Tirunelveli Deputy Inspector General of Police Praveen Kumar Abinapu and Thoothukudi Superintendent of Police S Jeyakumar met the bereaved family of P Subramanian (28), police constable, who martyred himself during the operation to nab Duraimuthu, in Pandaravilai, the victim’s native village under Eral police limits.

The South Zone IG offered a solatium of Rs 86.50 lakh in the form of cheque to wife of the victim. The cheque leaf read –‘Charity cheque to family of police martyr P Subramanian by South Zone police personnel. The police personnel would forever be indebted to Subramanian for his bravery. Moreover, the Inspector General said the Department of Police is ready to render possible assistance to the family of late Subramanian.
