Tamil Nadu has detected 5,967 fresh Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, according to the state's health department. The total infected cases has increased to 3,85,352 in the state.Â
The state saw 97 covid fatalities today. The total death toll in TN has increased to 6,614. Chennai has recorded 1,278 new Covid cases. The total cases in the city has increased to 1.26 lakh.Â
About 6,129 Covid patients have been discharged today from various hospitals in the state, following treatment. The total number of active cases in TN stands at 53,282.
Thiruvallur has reported 320 Covid cases today, while Chengalpet reported 306 fresh cases. Kanchipuram and Coimbatore reported 226 and 387 fresh covid cases respectively.Â
