DMK stages protest against sudden raise in Electricity bill

Opposition party DMK staged protests against the hefty power charges in various places in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday. Earlier, DMK President MK Stalin had announced that they would conduct protests against the alleged increase in Electricity Bill in Tamil Nadu on July 21 by hoisting black flag.

On Tuesday, Stalin participated in the protest by wearing a black shirt and hoisting a black flag in front of his residence in Alwarpet, Chennai.

DMK MP Kanimozhi protested at her residence in CIT colony and DMK leader Dhayanidhi Maran too protested in Anna Arivalayam .

DMK General Secretary, Durai Murugan and his son Kathir Anand protested in front of their residence in Katpadi, Vellore.
