Thiruvallur crosses 6k Covid cases, 100 fresh infections in Kanchi, Theni, Vellore

333 cases piled up in Thiruvallur on Saturday with total tally reaching 6,408. Number of people seeking treatment were over 2,500 while 3,736 persons have been discharged. 118 casualties reported as of June 11.

Vellore suffered an overnight spike of 134 Covid-19 cases. As per reports, the number of people affected in the district rose to 2,774. It was also found that 1,456 people are currently under treatment at various government and private hospitals. Over 1k people (1,293) have been discharged so far. Twenty-five deaths have also been reported.

With 154 new Covid infections, Theni's total tally stood at 1,649. There are 519 active cases in the district. More than a 1000 recoveries so far. 20 deaths also reported.

Kanchipuram recorded 3,257 cases with 160 new additions. (recoveries - 1,260, under treatment - 1,957, deaths - 42)
