2 fringe outfit cadre held for sexually abusing women in Kovai

Acting on a tip off that Chinnadurai, 30, a functionary of Makkal Desam Katchi and his friend Mohan Babu, 28, had locked up a few women in their rented house at Attur, a police team rushed to the spot and rescued four women. Inquiries revealed that the two men had sexually abused the women and also tried to force them into sex trade. Their modus operandi was to establish contacts with women through Facebook and find out if they were in an illegal affair. If so, they would threaten the women to have physical contact with them to prevent spilling out their illegal affair to their family members. The duo also forced the victims into sex with their friends and made money. Police sent away the distressed women to their houses with a warning, while both the men were arrested and further investigations are on to crack down on their entire network.
