Tamil Nadu records 2,516 fresh Coronavirus cases, total tally crosses 64,000

Tamil Nadu recorded 2,516 fresh COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, where the over all tally crossed 64,000. 

The total number of cases in the state has increased to 64,603. 

Chennai alone recorded 1,380 new Covid-19 cases, as usual contributing to the highest cases in the state.   

In TN, 39 people died due to coronavirus infection today, making the total number of deaths in state to 833.

Thiruvallur registered 156 new cases, while Chengalpattu registered 146 fresh cases today.

Madurai and Thiruvannamalai recorded 137 and 110 cases respectively.  

The total number of active cases in the state now stands at 28,428, while a total of 35,339 have been discharged or recovered.
