Condemning the Union Labour Ministry for being a mute spectator to the orders issued by the BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat which increased the working hours from eight to 12 hours per day, Stalin said the BJP has the intention to tilt in favour of the employers who exploit the hard labour of the workers and the lack of empathy on the part of the rulers was evident from it collecting train fare from impoverished migrant workers returning to their natives.
He also urged the BJP-led Centre to give up its “corporate” and “anti-labour mindset” and pay attention to workers welfare in the troubled and testing times.
