Stating that the killing in Sirumadurai village near Villupuram has rattled the state, Stalin said the news of the death of the girl who made a statement before the magistrate would make every person with a heart tremble. Calling it a sequel to the infamous Dharmapuri bus burning case, Stalin said that punishment to accused AIADMK branch secretary Kaliyaperumal and former AIADMK councilor Murugan would only save Jaishree like girl children in future.

Advising the police not to act for the sake of it because of the alleged involvement of ruling party men, Stalin said the police should ensure maximum punishment to the accused. Announcing that DMK would extend its support to get justice in Jaishree murder case, the Stalin referred to some accused going scot free in Pollachi sex scam and asserted that the police should keep in mind that such atrocious incidents would be subjected to review after regime change and hence act in an impartial manner.
