Quarantine rooms ready for 200 returning from Dubai today
Chengalpattu District Collector John Louis, along with two special officers Udayachandran and Bhuvaneswari, on Thursday, inspected the hostel rooms of the three educational institutions where the stranded Indians from abroad will be quarantined on their return for 14 days.

According to sources, a special flight from Dubai will arrive at Chennai airport on Friday evening. Sources said around 200 passengers are expected to reach Chennai from Dubai and all of them will be taken to quarantine facility arranged at the three private educational institutions in OMR.
Sources said a few star hotels are also booked for quarantine purpose. While free stay option is available, the rooms facilities will be charged between Rs 500 to Rs 4,000 per day and those returning can make the selection based on their preference and capacity. However, they should confirm the place where they will be self-quarantined in the provided options before leaving Chennai airport.
During this period of time, they will be able to make contact with their family members only over the phone. No one will be allowed to meet their friends or family or receive visitors. If anyone develops symptoms of COVID-19, they will be shifted to the Rajiv Gandhi GGH for treatment.
