Kovilpatti man held in Pocso case
The Kovilpatti All Women police have arrested a 19-year old youth under Pocso Act for sexually abusing a 10-year-old minor girl. The accused Santhana Kumar, was a tea master at a stall near his residence at Mutharamman Kovil Street in Kayathar, sources said on Saturday.

According to preliminary investigations, the accused had befriended a ten-year-old girl of the same locality and allegedly sexually abused her. Based on a complaint lodged by the mother of the victim, Kovilpatti All Women police filed a case under Pocso Act, 2012 and arrested the accused. Santhana Kumar has been sent to judicial custody.
