Find cure for virus, make TN proud: EPS

Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Tuesday urged doctors across the State to find a cure for nCoronavirus. He was speaking at the launch of the Tamil Nadu Health System Reform.

“Doctors should make the State proud by finding medication for nCoronavirus that has affected the lives of so many people across the world,” he said.

More than 80,000 people in Tamil Nadu have been screened forCOVID-19 symptoms at various airports including ChennaiCoimbatore, Madurai and Tiruchy and seaports.

Passengers from China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Nepal, Indonesia, Malaysia and Malaysia flights are being screened.

Currently, 2,500 people in TN are under home quarantine to ensure effective surveillance against nCoronavirus in Tamil Nadu.

Under the new Health Reform project, healthcare services will be improved at primary, secondary and tertiary care institutions and NABH accreditation will be issued to several hospitals and primary health centres in the State.
