15-yr-old girl visits CMCH fearing corona infection

The girl, aged 15, came to the hospital accompanied by her mother, claiming that she was having symptoms of corona virus. In fact, the girl, who was down with fever, had visited a private hospital for treatment.

She was told by the doctors at the hospital that the minor girl was showing symptoms of the deadly virus. As she was referred to CMCH, where a special ward is in place, the scared girl and her mother had rushed to the hospital to undergo treatment for corona.

Doctors, who were shocked on hearing her story, had performed various tests and finally concluded that she was not affected by corona virus. Also the girl does not have a travel history. The girl was sent away by doctors after allaying her fears.

The health department has been on their toes as corona, which claimed the lives of thousands of people in China, is spreading fast and has also been reported in neighbouring states.
