Actor Richard starred ‘Draupathi’ landed into controversy right from the day when its teaser released. Social activists and rationalists claimed that the movie is speaking in favour of caste and is supporting honour killing, but however, the movie has found support from the PMK and BJP.

The movie was released on Friday and a special show was screened to PMK founder S Ramadoss, who saw the movie along with his party leaders and family members. BJP National Secretary H Raja, went to the movie along with his supporters. After watching the movie, both the leaders appreciated Director Mohan for the film and said that the movie has created awareness on the safety of girl children and women.

“The movie has many information required for the present generation. It stresses on the safety of girl children and parents of every girl child should watch the movie along with their family members,” said Ramadoss, in a tweet.

BJP National Secretary H Raja said, “Director Mohan and his team have worked out a very good movie and parents should watch along with their children because many girl children are cheated in the name of love. The movie has created awareness on the condition of girl children and contains details on the hardships faced by girl children in the society.” Raja also said that every woman should live like a Draupathi. When asked about the opposition for the movie Raja replied that people with guilt will only oppose the movie.
