Dhanavelou submits explanation to Pondy Speaker
Ruling Congress party legislator Dhanavelou, who had raised a revolt against the Congress-DMK government and was served with a notice by Assembly Speaker VP Sivakolundhu on why he should not be disqualified under ‘Anti-defection Act,’ has submitted his reply to him on Friday.

It may be noted that Dhanavelou along with his advocates met the Speaker on February 14 and sought two-week time to file a reply to his notice which was then agreed by Sivakolundhu.
Since, Friday is the last date to file his reply, the suspended legislator along with his advocates met the Speaker and submitted a memorandum.The Speaker informed him that he will let his decision known after going through the memorandum.
