Police diverting murder case, need fair probe: H Raja

Speaking to media after visiting the family of the deceased, Raja claimed that Vijaya Raghu was fighting against those who opposed the CAA and that the protesters are backed and funded by anti-nationals and Islamic terrorist organisations.

Further, Raja directly condemned the IG (Central Zone) A Amalraj, who was the Commissioner in-charge during the incident, saying that there was no point in voluntarily commenting that there was no religious motive behind the murder. “This is just to dilute the case,” Raja said and asked whom he wanted to protect.

Raja also said that the police are accountable for weakening and undermining the issue and stressed that the BJP functionary was killed by a Muslim.

Further, Raja pointed out that there is a threat to the BJP cadre and even the police across the State from the Muslim fundamentalists and urged the police to conduct fair investigation into the case.
