Nabard raises credit outlay for Kovai district

The Potential Linked Credit Plan for the financial year 2020-21, prepared by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard), has assessed the credit potential for Coimbatore district at Rs 20,556.34 crore, a projected growth of 5.7 per cent more than the projections for the current year.

70 per cent more than the projections for the current year. The plan document was released by Coimbatore District Collector K Rajamani at the bankers meeting and it was received by S Venkataramanan, Lead Manager, Coimbatore, said a statement on Thursday. Commending the efforts taken by Nabard in the preparation of the document, Rajamani stressed the need for increased credit flow especially term loans which will aid the capital formation in agriculture and MSME sector. Further, the Collector indicated that bankers should be more proactive in financing of Integrated Farming System (IFS).
