Vaiko- Congress clash: Sathaymoorthy Bhavan under Police protection

MDMK General Secretary and MP, VaiKo, who represents the DMK alliance in Rajya Sabha had earlier criticised Congress during the parliamentary session on Article 370 of  J&K, last week.

VaiKo's comments sent shock waves among the Congress leaders who are DMK's alliance partners.  During the Rajya Sabha debate, while the MDMK leader was delivering his  speech, Congress leader KS Alagiri mocked him back.  For which Vaiko replied, "I didn’t become a MP with Congress’s help. Congress destroyed Tamil race“.

Tamil Congress leader EVKS Ilangovan had also condemned and accused Vaiko as being deceitful. The clash between the two parties is turning ugly.

Following which, there is a lot of tension among the party cadres. The party headquarters in TamilNadu - Sathyamoorthy Bhavan has been given police protection, speculating protests.  Reports said that armed forces were summoned around Sathyamoorthy Bhavan.
