A Class 10 student studying in a government higher secondary school was appreciated for handing over a mobile phone which he found on the road near his school.

Srigokul, while on his way to school, found a mobile phone worth Rs 30,000 on the road near his school. Seeing that the owner is not nearby, he took the phone to his headmaster, requesting him to hand it over to its owner.

The phone belonged to a Shankar, a serviceman at Valavan Kundru, near Vellore district, who stated that his phone had accidentally slipped out of his pant pockets and he had been searching for it desperately.

The headmaster found the details of the owner and assured that his phone was safe in his custody. On Thursday morning, in the school assembly, Srigokul was appreciated by his school members and the phone owner Shankar.
