‘AIADMK blood flows in ACS’ veins’
Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam speaking high of the NDA candidate AC Shanmugam’s (ACS) calibre said, “He is not new to us; the party has already known him as Arni MLA in 1980 and then as Vellore MP in 1984. He has also held positions in the party and hence AIADMK blood flows in his veins.”

The ruling party convener also recalled the legacy of former chief ministers MG Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa while canvassing for ACS at Latheri on Monday.
Stating that he had met Shanmugam when he (OPS) was a mere ward secretary earlier and said, “I asked him who he was when I saw how active he was and he told me that he was the Arni MLA.”
OPS said he was also surprised that Shanmugam already started keeping his poll promise of conducting two rounds of medical camps in all six Assembly segments and offering to provide free higher education for the poor. “I am dumbfounded by what he is doing and hence he is the person whom we should send to Parliament so that he can continue to do the same for more people,” he added.
