Scrap NEET, NEXIT, says Pondy CM
Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Saturday reiterated that the Centre should scrap NEET for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Talking to the media, Narayanasamy said as NEET has questions from CBSE syllabus, students studying in State boards find it difficult, and their hope pursue medical education was shattered.
Though resolutions were adopted in assembly and agitations organised, the Centre was delaying the decision as if it could not be scrapped.
He said the Centre was now trying to introduce the National Medical Commission which, too, would affect the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry students. Narayanasamy also accused the Centre for trying to grab education from the State list in a phased manner, for which NEET is the first step.
He said that the proposed National Exit Test would also affect the students and added that if the students who complete their medical education after four-and-a-half years of study need to write NEXIT, there was no need for universities in thecountry.
