The BJP National secretary asked Suriya to first go through at least four pages of the draft which runs to 400 pages in total and then comment on the same. He also rapped the DMK and its allies over Hindi imposition talk.
He further criticised Kanimozhi, DMK MP from Thoothukudi and asked why not poor students study Hindi, while Kanimozhi could.
He also called for protests in front of politicians’ houses, who had been voicing against Hindi in school education.
Raja said DMK was acting against the interest of people by protesting welfare schemes bought by the Centre, especially those reaching the poor.
Talking to reporters in Virudhunagar, BJP State unit President Tamilisai also mocked actor Suriya and said those who did not even know about the new education policy were criticising it.
She also hit out at DMK president MK Stalin for forming a 10-member committee to study the education policy while opposing it tooth and nail.
