Heavy rain likely to lash TN in next 48 hrs

The RMC officials issued a heavy rainfall warning on Sunday stating that isolated places over Cuddalore, Villupuram, Vellore, Tiruvallur, Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram and Tiruvannamalai districts are expected to receive heavy to moderate rainfall. Meanwhile, light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places over Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Krishnagiri, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Pudukottai, Sivagangai, Madurai, Tiruchy, Perambalur, Ariyalur, The Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni and Tirunelveli districts. For the next 48 hours, the sky condition in Chennai is likely to be generally cloudy. The city temperatures also dipped on Sunday and various districts received a minimum of 5 cm of rain.
