Nagai man uploads his pic eating beef soup, attacked
Four persons, who allegedly attacked a Muslim youth for posting his photo eating beef soup on social media, were arrested on Friday. This is said to be first such case in Tamil Nadu.

Mohammed Faizaan (24) from Poravacheri was assaulted by a gang of 10 on Thursday night within hours of him uploading his picture eating the soup at an eatery.
He said the men stopped him near a temple at 7.30 pm and assaulted him with lethal weapons. He said he fell unconscious and was found by his friends who rushed him to Nagapattinam GH.
Following direction from SP TK Rajasekaran, the Kilvelur police visited Faizaan, who lodged a complaint. The police arrested N Dinesh Kumar (28), R Agathiyan (28), A Ganesh Kumar (27) and M Mohankumar (28) and booked them under IPC sections including 307 (attempt to murder), and are searching for others.
Though sources said they were associated with Hindu Makkal Katchi, its local leader Kollidam J Swaminathan denied any link.
