Udhayanidhi to be youth wing leader?
The much-debated elevation of Udhayanidhi Stalin in DMK could happen on Thursday. Grapevine has it that the DMK leadership was likely to announce him as secretary of the party’s youth wing, replacing former minister Vellakoil Saminathan.

Rumours of Udhayanidhi’s anointment was doing rounds for a few months. In fact, a couple of dates were even set for the political elevation of Stalin junior last month, thanks to the push from the first family. Udhayanidhi, who was the second most ‘popular’ campaigner of party in the Parliamentary elections, currently holds the office of MD of ‘Murasoli’. Reports suggested that Saminathan had even submitted his resignation to pave way for Udhayanidhi’s promotion, which he denied.
