Karur MP accuses District Collector of blocking her phone number

Karur MP Jothimani has made a sensational complaint on the District Collector claiming that he has blocked her cell phone number constantly.

In the press meet in Karur, MP Jothimani said, “The whole Karur constituency has been suffering from lack of drinking water. The reason for this is the lack of efforts for a long time to provide proper drinking water. I was not invited to the drinking water planning review meeting held at Karur. This appears to be a tendency of knocking over the power of an MP. The Parliament members in the constituency were also not informed about the meeting. The collector has blocked my cell phone number because of a small problem that took place during the election. I thought he would have removed my number from the ‘block list’ after I became the MP. But he has still blocked my number. If he is repeating this, how will I put forward public claims to the Collector?”

She added, “Tamil Nadu MPs pointed out the serious drinking water problem in Tamil Nadu and demanded that the Central government allocate funds to the state government and find a solution to the Cauvery issue. The water problem is a common problem. This is not a political issue belonging to the AIADMK, DMK and Congress. Regardless of which party, the Members of Parliament, the Cabinet members, the Ministers, and the District Administration are tasked with working together to conduct review meetings.”

Notably, when asked about MP Jothimani’s accusation, the Collector claimed that he has not blocked her number.
