Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami inaugurates blood donation camp for policemen in Chennai

Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami inaugurated the blood donation camp for Police at Rajarathinam stadium in Chennai Egmore on Friday.

The blood donation camp is held in 89 locations throughout Tamil Nadu. Large number of policemen participated in the camp and donated blood.

Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan, DGP Rajendran and Chennai Police Commissioner Viswanathan were also present in the event.

It was decided in prior, to conduct a blood donation camp for the police in June every year. Since May is the holiday season, a smaller number of donors were found in this month.

Therefore, a decision was taken to conduct a blood camp among policemen to meet the needs of the blood seekers.
