Youth killed: VCK cadre, kin besiege hosp

According to police, Prasanth (21) son of Perumal of Karuppanur near Tirupattur working with a private contractor, was on his way to work. While he was crossing the Pillayar Koil street on his two-wheeler, he reportedly grazed some people who were attending a mourning. This angered the crowd and 7 people began to thrash Prasanth. They attacked him severely that he soon swooned on the spot. He was then rushed to Tirupattur GH, from where they referred him to the Krishnagiri GH HQ.

However, Prasanth succumbed on the way to the HQ hospital and hence his body was brought back to the Tirupattur hospital. When his relatives were informed about the death, soon his kin and VCK cadre assembled outside the hospital and besieged it. On information policed rushed to the spot and pacified the protestors following which they dispersed. A case has been registered and investigations have started.
