The Circle Inspector of Ernakulam Central Police Station in Kerala, V.S.Navas, who reportedly went missing since early morning on Thursday, was traced at Karur Railway station in Tamil Nadu early on Saturday.

According to police sources, Mr Navas was missing allegedly after having an argument with his senior officer on Wednesday night. He had surrendered his wireless set and the SIM of his official mobile phone at the police station before going missing. His mobile phone, too, was switched off ever since.
The cop’s wife had then lodged a petition with Kochi City Police Commissioner Vijay Sakhare seeking to trace her husband. She alleged that harassment and pressure from senior officers had led to the disappearance of her husband.
Even as the Kerala police launched a search for the missing cop, Navas had reportedly approached RPF official Sunil Kumar at Madurai Railway junction around 2 am on Saturday morning seeking assistance for travelling to Coimbatore, after which he was guided to taking the Nagercoil-Coimbatore express train.
Navas was detained at Karur railway station after being identified by Tamil Nadu RPF personnel with the assistance of Kerala police. Police teams from Palakkad and Kochi reached Karur and Madurai subsequently to take him to Kerala, sources said.
Navas is a native of Kuthiathode in Alappuzha district and has been living with his family in Thevara.
