3 special teams formed to nab culprits after four houses looted

According to SP Pravesh Kumar who reviewed the action initiated by the police at the Sathuvachari police station, told the media that the CCTV footage revealed four persons entering the premises of one of the looted houses with the lower part of their faces covered by cloth. The records with the district police revealed that the modus operandi adopted by the culprits and the fingerprints taken from the crime scene did not match the police records, hence ruling out the chance of local gangs being involved.

Pravesh Kumar also said that suspicion centres around on gangs from north India as they are highly skilled in breaking and stealing. While the three special teams were formed on Monday, Pravesh Kumar said another 30 police personnel had been added to the three teams to ensure expeditious detection of the cases. Though the area has night patrolling by the police, Pravesh Kumar said that the thefts occurred after the police had completed patrolling the area.
