Three held in AMMK cadre murder case

Saravanan (38) of Avarankadu, the AMMK’s union secretary, was allegedly hacked to death while he was out on his morning walk on May 26. The incident occurred near Kalkurichi bridge in Manamadurai. According to police sources, those arrested were identified as A. Iyappan (32) of Pandian Nagar, Paramakudi, M. Palani alias Palanikumar (33) of Velur and K. Balaji (31) of Thirupuvanam.

The key accused Thangaraj and his accomplice Muthuselvan have been absconding and a hunt is on to nab them, sources said.
