AMMK abuzz with reports of Sasi’s parole
The AMMK functionaries are in an upbeat mood as there are unconfirmed reports that their party leader VK Sasikala, who is lodged in a Bengaluru jail in connection with a disproportionate assets case, is to come out on parole after May 23 and counting of votes.

According to AMMK insiders, Sasikala is to assess the political scenario in the state. “This government led by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami will not last after May 23. Our leaders TTV Dhinakaran and Sasikala will have crucial meetings with AMMK workers and discuss means to oust EPS government,” AMMK sources said.
There are also well-wishers and sleeper cells in the ruling AIADMK and their political stance will change after the bypoll results. AMMK will be the reason for the downfall of AIADMK, the sources added.
However, AMMK party headquarters sources denied the political development as a rumour. When contacted AMMK spokesperson CR Saraswathi denied the talks as rumours. “Chinnamma is likely to come out on parole only by the end of this year, even during her last parole to pay respects for her husband Natarajan, the AMMK leader returned to jail even before the parole ended,” sources told DT Next.
