Mystery fever claims life of 5-year-old girl

Madhushri (5) from Kinathukadavu of Coimbatore, daughter of a daily wage labourer Sekar, succumbed to a mystery fever on Friday evening.

She was suffering from what was assumed to common fever. Madhushri was treated accordingly, but her condition worsened on Friday evening. She was taken to ICU in the Coimbatore Government Hospital.

However, Madhushri's poor fettle failed to yield to treatment and she was declared dead. The Kinathukidavu police have expedited the investigations regarding this fever.
