Perambalur sex case: Lawyer detained

The advocate who made an allegation reportedly mentioning a ruling party VIP in the Perambalur sexual abuse, was detained under Goondas act on Thursday for his false charges. The advocate Arul petitioned the police to investigate into the alleged sexual harassment on many Perambalur women by a group of men led by a ruling party leader. On April 25, the advocate Arul released an audio where a woman named a politician as the perpetrator. However, on April 30, Arul was arrested and imprisoned in Tiruchy central prison as he was making false charges. Meanwhile, on Thursday, the District Collector V Santha ordered Arul to bedetained under theGoondas Act.
