Rituals were conducted at Arunachaleswarar temple in Tiruvannamalai this morning, praying for a decrease in heat waves in the state.
The conductors of these rituals submerged chest deep in the pond at the temple, chanting religious scripts. A large number of people had taken part in this ritual, hoping for rain.
