DMK’s dream to form govt will never become a reality, says Vasan

Speaking to reporters, Vasan said, the TMC would continue to campaign for the AIADMK candidates in all the four Assembly bypoll segments and it is heartening to hear that the BJP would get an absolute majority at the Centre. The AIADMK government’s developmental projects have been received well across the state and the results would be favourable to the ruling party. “The DMK has been dreaming of forming government for the past two and a half years and it would never become a reality,” Vasan said.

Meanwhile, Vasan claimed, if the Cradle Baby Scheme was properly utilised and people are sensitised about it, baby thefts could be controlled. “There need to be more awareness, especially in the rural parts and the department should ensure it and campaign for more legal adoption.

Stating that banana prices had dropped drastically, Vasan advocated for the minimum support price for the nendran variety to Rs 60. “Nendran banana which used to be sold for Rs 34 a kg is sold for just Rs 7 to 10. Banana chips are loved and popular which sells at Rs 400 per kg,” he added.
