Friends kill ganja peddler in Coimbatore

A ganja peddler was allegedly murdered by his accomplices following a quarrel over sharing the contraband here in the district. Police said Abutahir, 43, from Arivozhi Nagar here was found in an unconscious state along the roadside on Wednesday night. Upon receiving information, the local police rushed him to CMCH. He, however, failed to regain consciousness and died on Thursday morning. Inquiries revealed that the 43-year-old had a quarrel with his friends over sharing a pack of ganja. They all were drunk, and in a fit of rage during the altercation, the four attacked him severely. As Abutahir fell unconscious, the dropped him off at his residence. However, en route, he slipped off the bike. Leaving him at the spot itself, the four left. The police have secured Gopi and a search is on.
