SriLanka refugee detained in Thanjavur

He later visited Thanjavur and reportedly stayed in a mansion and then travelled to Pattukkottai. Based on a tip-off, the police detained him at Pattukkottai for inquiries. Ranjith reportedly told the police that he came to the State to meet a relative who is staying at a Sri Lankan refugee camp at Marthandam in Kanyakumari district. Further inquiries are on to ascertain if he is saying the truth and if not, to find out his real purpose of the visit, the police sources said. He is yet to be arrested, they added.
