Claiming that the State was witnessing an anti-Modi wave, Udhayanidhi said his wish was to see the rival candidates losing their deposits in the elections.

“Having toured the entire state to campaign for the candidates of the DMK-led alliance I found there is an overwhelming support for his father from the people,” claimed Stalin junior.

Reminding the electorate of the May 22 police firing during anti-Sterlite protests in which 13 were killed last year in Thoothukudi, Udhayanidhi said the agitation was peaceful for 99 days and on the 100 day the horrific incident took place.

Claiming that people affected by cyclones Gaja and Ockhi were not even given 10 per cent of the loss as compensation, he said the Prime Minister was now India’s villain.

Referring to the incidents at a resort in Koovathur following the death of CM J Jayalalithaa, he said those who prostrated before expelled AIADMK leader Sasikala were now ruling the State.

Referring to PMK leader Anbumani Ramadoss calling him “kodukku” (sting in Tamil), he said this was because Anbumani felt the pain inflicted by Stalin’s continuous ‘stings’ on him.
