Election campaign to end tomorrw

Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry will face the Parliamentary elections on April 18. Also the general election for the 18 legislative assembly constituencies will face election on the same day.

On the oust of it, the intensified election campaign of various political parties heated up the entire state. Several actors and actresses too were also busy in campaigning for their parties.

As per the Election Commission's order, the campaign will get over by tomorrow, April 16. The election will begin on April 18 by 7 am.

The security measures have been beefed up through out the state, with para military forces joining hands with the Tamil Nadu Police.

In a press release on April 13, the election commission has claimed that the flying squad has so far seized cash worth 129.51 crore in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

The Income Tax department has seized currency worth 40.10 crore, reports said.
