VCK men obstructing PMK poll rallies, alleges Ramadoss
PMK founder Dr S Ramadoss on Tuesday accused the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi of preventing its party candidates from campaigning in Dalit dominated areas by resorting to violence.

In a statement, Ramadoss said that PMK’s Villupuram Lok Sabha seat candidate Vadivel Ravanan, who went to campaign with Law Minister CVe Shanmugham was denied entry into Thuravi and Mungilpattu village in Vikkiravandi Assembly seat.
In Cuddalore, PMK candidate Dr Govindasamy, who went to campaign along with Industries Minister MC Sampath was asked to remove his party flag to enter Kandrakottai village in Panruti. Similarly, Arakkonam LS seat candidate of PMK AK Moorthy was also asked to remove his party flag at Pannapakkam Colony in Shollingar. “The VCK cadre indulged in protest and attacked PMK party workers. Such attacks happened at Tirutani’s Kichallam village near Pallipet also,” he noted.
“Majority of the Dalit people were inviting the AIADMK led alliance to visit their villages for campaigning. But the VCK cadres in those villages were indulging in such attacks. If anyone questions them, the VCK men were filing false cases underthe SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act,” he said, adding that the VCK has been doing this toprovoke the party cadre instigate a clash.
Appreciating the Election Commission and police, PMK founder sought strict action against those instigating communal clashes and violence fearing electoral defeats. “The EC and the police should take proactive steps to ensure that all candidates were able to campaign in all the areas,” he demanded.
