Battle of many firsts for Tamil Nadu
The April 18 Lok Sabha polls and the by-election to 18 Assembly seats in Tamil Nadu have several firsts.

This is the first time, a sort of ‘mini’ election is being conducted along with the Parliamentary seats--when polling will be simultaneously held to fill 18 of the 21 Assembly seats.
