2 children drown in tank while playing
Two children drowned in a ground level tank near their house at Pernambut after they accidentally fell into it while playing on Friday. According to the police, Bhuvanesh (4), son of Kumaresan of AD colony at Erikuthi, was playing with Mithilesh (3), son of Sankar of the same locality, when the incident occurred.

As they did not return home even after it became dark, their parents initiated a search across the village. Later, their bodies were found floating in the open ground level water tank. Based on a complaint by Kumaresan, Pernambut town police registered a case and initiated an investigation. The bodies of the deceased children were sent to Pernambut government hospital for post-mortem. A pall of gloom has descended on the village following the death of the children.
