Secular Progressive Alliance workers' panel meet goes all out against Ramadoss
A majority of the key speakers, most of them LS candidates, of DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) blasted the PMK and its founder Ramdoss for different reasons while addressing the working committee meeting held in Peramblur on Friday.

The meeting was attended by candidates of Perambalur TR Parivendhar (IJK), Chidambaram Thol Thirumavalavan (VCK) and the Nilgiris A Raja (DMK).
Addressing the cadre, TR Paarivendhar, said that though he has been serving in the field of education for the past 50 years and launched his party only eight years ago, he was actively involved in social service for over 40 years.
“I took a wrong decision in the previous election and aligned with the wrong people. But, now, I have realised my fault and joined the right camp which will help me to serving people better,” Paarivendhar said.
“I don’t need anything personally and, so, I will always work for the people. Soon, there will be a change of rule both in the Centre and as well as the state and thereafter, economic development will be witnessed,” he said.
Reacting to the remarks of PMK president Dr S Ramdoss at a meeting in Perambalur on Thursday, Paarivendhar said that Ramdoss was a man, with an eye on money, who bargained for alliance and aligned with the party that gave him huge sums.
Replying to AIADMK candidate NR Sivapathy, who said that the IJK leader would lose his deposit, Paarivendhar recalled, “I have never lost my deposit, even when I contested in a wrong alliance,” and added that he would win with at least a five lakh margin.
Former union teelcom minister and the Nilgiris DMK candidate A Raja said that both Ramdoss and Anbumani Ramdoss can never run their party without the caste card. “It is because of Raja, Vanniyars are using mobile phones and thus I had made revolution in the industry,” Raja claimed.
“Modi government is posing a threat to secularism by trying to amend the Constitutional provisions. He wants to be a dictator and it is time to send him back home,” Raja said.
Meanwhile, the VCK chief and Chidambaram candidate Thol Thirumavalavan said, “Paarivendhar joined the DMK alliance with an intention to serve the people and not like Ramdoss whose only intention is money.”
All the candidates appealed to the cadre of the alliance parties in unison to remove of the BJP led Centre for maintaining a secular status in the country.
