“The government of Tamil Nadu is for the people and by the people. This government has carried out so many welfare schemes envisioned by our leaders MGR and Jayalalithaa. DMK, when it comes to power, only stops these schemes meant of the poor and needy,” Palaniswami said.

Accusing DMK president Stalin for trying to topple the elected AIADMK government for personal gains, he blamed the opposition for triggering various protests across the state in an attempt to destabilise the government.

“But he failed in his efforts as the people are with us,” the CM said. He also clarified that under his leadership, there was overall growth in the state and TN remained top in Law and Order.

“This government has stood out among all other state governments in various fields which is a clear indicator of our functioning,” Palaniswami said during his campaign in Tiruvallur.
