EVKS Elangovan said that the ADMK-BJP alliance will never win the Lok Sabha election even with the cash game on.
Congress' EVKS Elangovan who faces defamation charges against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy, was summoned to appear before the Special Court, Chennai on Thursday. The trial was later postponed to March 27.Â
While EVKS Elangovan addressed the press after the court proceedings, he said that he wasn't afraid to face the trials, and courts of any charges. He added that hurdles like this will only help him in working aggressively towards his party's win in the upcoming election.
"I wanted to contest in my constituency- Erode. But am willing to contest in any other constituency as decided by Congress high command. Unlike the ruling Modi Government, DMK has made only feasible promises and Congress will ensure to fulfill all of them, if they were given a chance," he said.
While answering about the delay in his party's candidates list announcement, he defended saying "Since the candidates for all the Lok Sabha constituencies in India have to be announced simultaneously, the list is getting delayed."
"Even with all the cash game played by ADMK-BJP alliance, it will lose severely in the elections", EVKS Elangovan said.
