Heatwave on hold: Good weather for 2 days

“The drop in temperature is is caused by the formation of a trough over the Kanniyakumari and the adjoining South Tamil Nadu at the height of 1.5 km. In its website, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said thunderstorm, accompanied by lightning and gusty winds at isolated places, was likely over interior Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Kerala on Friday and Saturday. Due to this, the maximum temperature in Tamil Nadu is likely to fall by 2-3 degree Celsius, the weathermen have predicted. Meanwhile, heatwave condition prevailed over parts of interior Tamil Nadu, including Karur Paramathi and Madurai airport (41 degree sCelsius), Salem (40.8 degrees Celsius), Tiruttani (40.3 degrees Celsius) and Tiruchy and Dharmapuri (40 degrees Celsius).
