Prez in Kovai for Air Force, Isha events

Ram Nath Kovind was received by Governor Banwarilal Purohit and Minister SP Velumani at the Coimbatore International Airport.

On Monday morning, the President will present the coveted President’s Colours to Air Force Station at Hakimpet and 5 Base Repair Depot in Sulur.

Having stayed at the circuit house in Race Course, Kovind will reach Sulur Air Force station by road at 8.05 am. He is then scheduled to leave from Sulur at 11.10 am and reach the circuit house. 

After a brief stay, the President will reach the airport to take a helicopter to Isha Yoga Centre, 25 kilometres from the city.

He will be taking part in the Mahasivaratri celebrations at Isha Yoga Centre from 5.30 pm to 7 pm. He would then return for a stay in Coimbatore and would take a flight to Delhi on Tuesday at 10 am.

Following the President’s visit, security has been beefed up and over 5000 cops have been deployed across the district.
