Deputy CM sings paeans for Modi’s steps against terror
Likening Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Lord Vishnu’s ‘Narasimha Avatar’ in Hindu mythology, Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam on Friday said he (Modi) has taken that avatar in battling exterwnal threats in a bold and decisive manner.
Speaking at a function in which Modi launched a slew of railway and road development projects here, Panneerselvam, referring to the IAF strikes against terror camps in Pakistan in the wake of the Pulwama attack, said, “From Kashmir to Kanniyakumari, India is one. It is a statement which is repeated often.’’
“Today, there is a need to clearly demonstrate this. The country, under the strong and steadfast leadership of Narendra Modi is battling external threats in a bold and decisive manner.”
“Without being cowed down by threats from neighbouring countries, Modi, like the Hindu God ‘Narasimha’, has taken bold military steps without any sleep and decimated hundreds of terrorists. This has been appreciated by the entire world.”
Panneerselvam said the bold and effective action by Modi has instilled fear among the world nations that are planning to attack India in future. It has also sounded alarm bells to those countries supporting and abetting terrorism, he said.
He said the military actions taken by Modi was such that it was widely appreciated by all the Opposition parties. On behalf of people of Tamil Nadu, I congratulate Modi for his courageous military actions against terrorists, he added.
Chief Minister lauds PM’s strategy in forcing Pak to free pilot
Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Friday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the successful air strikes to demolish terror camps in Pakistan and the bold steps taken by him to root out terrorism. He also thanked the PM for the diplomatic steps taken by him to safely bring back IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan, who was captured by the Pakistan military.
“On behalf of the people of Tamil Nadu, I thank the Prime Minister for the bold and decisive measures to root out terrorism, which is threatening the world and the successful air strike to decimate the terrorist camps,” he added. “As Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, I also thank the Prime Minister for having taken effective diplomatic steps to bring back Wing Commander Abhinandan safely to India,” Palaniswami said.
